About
Tricia Martin
I am a mother, wife, landscape architect, entrepreneur, and professor. For fifteen years I navigated through my day meeting deadlines, networking for new clients, responding to student emails, and cooking meals for my family. I thought I had it all under control and was only barely aware of the effects my schedule and responsibilities were having on my mind and body. Unfortunately, it wasn't until my younger daughter became ill with a terminal disease for me to realize how out of balance I was. Her illness forced me to confront my own illness, stress, exhaustion and bad habits. I had gained weight, my hair was thinning and I was being treated for multiple gastrointestinal conditions. I rationalized that these were normal and expected outcomes of aging, but deep down I knew this was not the case. With a strong interest in nutrition, food, and health I decided to become a health coach so that I could guide myself and my family towards greater health, life balance and happiness. Through my training, I was reminded of my natural talents in counceling others. I am thrilled to now offer my knowledge, my empathic ear, and time to help you through life's challenges in achieveing balance.
